Remember this post? Where I was lamenting my green tomatoes in my garden? Fearing they wouldn't turn red before the critters got a hold of them?
Well! Look now! After making a huge pot of spaghetti from scratch (including with green peppers and basil from the garden), eating tomatoes at every meal, and giving bags of them away to the neighbors, I still have these on my sun porch:
I'm running out of sunny places to put them, Alhamdulillah!

wow that's a lot of tomatoes! Here it seems cherry tomatoes are really popular. This year hasn't been kind to us regarding the garden - very topsy turvy kind of weather.
Salaams Insyirrah: Yes, they smell wonderful, Masha Allah! When I was a kid, we used to lie on the ground in my grandmother's garden and smell everything, lol. I remember smelling the tomatoes, dill, radishes, etc. How wonderful, eh?!
Salaams Mezba: I don't like cherry tomatoes; the ones I've tasted are tart. They say there are sweet varieties, but I haven't run across them yet. Perhaps if I grow my own ...
Attaaaaack of the killer tomatos!!!!!!!!
LOL
sorry, I just had to.
hahaha...its great that u have a garden, i'm sure my mother would be so envious with ur garden...she loves gardening...
That's from how many plants? congrats on a great harvest. Glad to see the late blight missed you too. I've harvested about 40 pounds of tomatoes myself in just the past 3 weeks and there's no end in sight...
Hey There Mostlypurple:
It was a flat of either six or eight plants! And some of the tomatoes are bigger than apples! And they're ohhhh soooo sweet, Alhamdulillah! Insha Allah I'll buy the plants next year from the same gardening stand.
I have been giving them away like crazy. I think it's time to make more sauce :)
Delicious or not, the pictures are lovely!
