Sister Zakiyyah, my dear friend, gave me some canna lilly bulbs this past spring. I waited and waited for the bulbs to come up. Nothing. Then, almost overnight, look what happened (kind of remind you of the green tomates post, lol?)!
Here are some of the blooms up close. I have coral, pink, and yellow ones. The yellow one with the tiger-looking pattern kind of reminds me of orchids a little bit!
Jazaka Allahu Khayrn dear Zakiyyah. You were right: they are breathtaking, Alhamdulillah!

Pretty!
Gorgeous! You must live someplace warm - we are already turning to fall here.
Aassalamu Aalaikum sister,
I bookmarked your blog a few days ago so that I may find how you reverted to Islam from Judaism. Till today I failed to find that...
To know about a person’s journey from Judaism to Islam is more interesting cuz of Palestine problems
Did you mention about it anywhere in your blog?..if not please let me know about your journey to Islam. It’s like da’wa to non Muslims and also helps the viewers about Islam.
Jazakallah khair and
May Allah bless you.
Q.
Really lovely :) You have a nice touch with flowers, O mother nature :)
Ya Haqq!
Mashallah beautiful!!
Salaam Safiyyah
Thank you for answering the question I posed in the last post. I guess its your perogative to answer or not, but at least I think I know why you dont want to go there!
If anonymous is referring to the question about buying a house in the states, if you are so worried about conforming to Islamic teachings (such as not in indulging in Riba) then perhaps you should also be worried about acting like a muslim and not try to discredit another muslim, PUBLICLY, this would be much easier to perform that buying a house without indulging in Riba in th US, for a start.
How do YOU know im muslim? because I gave her a salaam and a happy ramadan?
Moron.
I didnt know 'safiyyah' couldnt write for herself and needed an anonymous "pious" muslim to take care of her comments.
Another thing--
I know that muslims (at least, some) dont indulge in riba and I wanted to go that route as well for my own reasons. Actually asking a muslim, I see, was a big mistake. Wont be doing that again.
Masha'Allah, one day I hope to have a garden. Those are beautiful. Sigh...city living :(
