They also have a beautiful nasheed in English.
Mercy Like the Rain
Here is another Arabic & Urdu (mixed) nasheed by a very famous Pakistani Na'at khwan (The one who sings nasheed)
Allahu (As subuhu bada min) by Qari Waheed Zafar
Let me know if you are interested in listening some more Urdu na'at or Qawali.
It is a great delight to listen to the nasheed and music. Thanks for sharing.
I wish I can understand the lyric :).
Salaams Usman
yes, send links! BTW I bought Mercy Like The Rain album from iTunes. I like these brothers
Salaams Dreams
IA when I go online tomorrow I'll post the English lyrics.
Salaams Dreams:
Here are the lyrics:
JASHNE AAMADE RASOOL - Celebrations of the coming of the Messenger
[ translated from Urdu ]
Celebrations of the coming of the Messenger
The flower of Lady Aminah
When the master was about to come
The maidens and boy servants of Paradise began to rejoice
The light spread everywhere
With the coming of the Chosen One came life to us all
O Halima in your lap has arrived
The Messenger of both worlds
Celebrations of the coming of the Messenger
The flower of Lady Aminah
Some would praise his face
Some would praise his locks of hair
Seeing this, Aminah began smiling
Eve and Mary too began rejoicing
Lady Aminah began saying to everybody
The prayer has been accepted
Celebrations of the coming of the Messenger
The flower of Lady Aminah
Festive music was sounded
Songs of happiness were heard by all
Everywhere shouts of 'peace on him'
Today the Beloved of God has been born
Thereafter Gabriel announced
This truly is the Messenger of God
Celebrations of the coming of the Messenger
The flower of Lady Aminah
Salaam Safiyyah,
Who is helping you in translation?
Salaams Usman:
It's from here:
http://www.shaamgroup.com/12419/1229.html
On their website, they have the lyrics to all of their songs.
Is it bad translation of Urdu?
Salaam Safiyyah,
Actually translation is fine. But there is more in translation than what is in the video. In fact the video goes up to half the translation you have listed. So, I was wondering where is the rest of the part.
Anyway here are more Nasheeds if you like;
QASIDA BURDA SHAREEF by Junaid Jamshed
Junaid Jamshed was once a pop singer. Then he turned to doing da'wa.
Here is another one:
Ya Nabi Salaam O Alaika by Owais Qadri
I do not like Owais Qadri's flamboyant style of vidoes. But he is good Na'at Khawan.
And here is what we call Qawali in South Asia. It is a form of Sufi music and has its roots in Sufism. You may not enjoy it because one has to know the poetry to get it. But if Europeans shown in this video can have some fun than you may also find it interesting.
Allah Hoo by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Salam Safiyyah... Thanks a lot for the translation, beautiful words.
I like:
"Seeing this, Aminah began smiling
Eve and Mary too began rejoicing"
:)
